I haven't seen it so I can't really comment on that. It's fine if you dig it mate, just don't break a wrist jerking yourself off about it.

The trailer and the things I've read critics say about the new one just doesn't convince me that I really need to see it. |

Problem with new Star Wars is that it's all hype.
It's STAR WARS, but not really, since it's not a worldwide revelation. I'll take my Rick and Morty any day of the week for contemporary scifi.

![]() ![]() Yorgos Lanthimos is hands down one of my favorite modern directors. His debut album, Dogtooth, I watched it years ago but watched it again last night and has not lost a shred of insanity. The way he depicts families in his films is really unsettling, and usually disturbing. Great film, great, great film.

![]() ![]() I, Tonya possible unknown fact: I fucking love figure skating that being said how could i not be excited about a film about the first woman to land a triple Axel in combination with a double toe loop!!!!! (the beginning of the end credits shows the actual footage of this) then to add fuel to the fire the first review i see is "This is the Goodfellas of ice skating" all this being said......This film is soooooo good look you'd have to be pretty out of touch to not know Tonya Harding and "the incident"...that alone already makes a good film....but this really gets into the abuse she endured for basically her entire life her mother physically and mentally abused her her husband abused her the skating federation abused her (basically said she was white trash and was not a good fit for a figure skater....even though raw talent was there) the press abused the shit out of her and then there was "the incident" this is very well written, well acted and just well done movie of the year? No still a great film about a very interesting piece of history seeing Darkest Hour later today ![]() |
