Phantom Thread (2017)
![]() Finally saw this. Vicky Krieps is amazing and easily outshines DDL himself. All around masterful filmmaking and a great ending. Cure (1997) ![]() Watched it for the third time after more than five years. Still one of my favourite movies and and one of the best horror movies ever. Creepy, mindblowing masterpiece.

Agreed. Great film. Does not hold up to There Ill Be Blood, Inherent Vice, or The Master. Especially The Master, that's probably top 3 best films I've ever seen.

![]() ![]() "The 12th Man" is based on the true story of a failed Nazi sabotage attempt in occupied Norway during the end of march in 1943. One man escaped and literally walked across Norway to get to Sweden while being pursued by the Gestapo, recieving help from the locals. So what does it have? : 1.) Norwegians speaking Norwegian and Germans speaking German. Nice to watch a decent war film where everyone is actually speaking in their country's language. Although, interestlingly, Jonathen Rhys Mayers is in it (the guy who played Henry the VIII in "The Tudors") as the head of the Gestapo ...speaking..you guessed it..German. Yes, I like American war films..just nice to see a bit more realism when it comes to the language department. 2.) Snow Caves 3.) An exciting reindeer chase. 4.) Home surgery of frostbite..eek. 5.) Quisling. A term you don't really hear much outside of Norwegian war films. Actually, you never hear it. It's a very good film. Two thumbs and a toe up.
