I hadn't even heard of it. Wasn't trying to start a riot or anything.

Action isn't my favorite but I'm sure it's fun.

I highly doubt it'll top the Company of Wolves in my eyes though. ****'s unreal.

The Wild Angels (1966)

Re-watched this one last night. "Easy Rider" gets most of the hype and there are other worthy biker movies out there but this is my all-time favorite biker exploitation flick. Peter Fonda, Nancy Sinatra, Bruce Dern, Dianne Ladd, actual Hell's Angels members from the Venice, CA charter, directed by Roger Corman with a soundtrack by Davie Allan and The Arrows. This one has it all.

R.I.P. Peter Fonda

Just started watching the Halloween reboot and there's just something about Michael Myers that gets you pumped like no other slasher villain. Jason was a ripoff, Freddie talks too much, Leatherface was a prototype, the Scream guy was never scary, but just starting a Halloween movie gets you immediately in the mood to see Michael Myers be hopefully the perfect version of himself. God I hope this movie doesn't suck.

Alright slasher movies are already the most seriously overrated form of horror movie. Even the best movies tend to be bland cheese fests. Only the first Halloween and maybe the first Nightmare on Elm Street hold up. But modern day digital cinematography ruins absolutely everything about slasher movies that was even good in the first place. The blurry OG fuzziness of 70s and 80s horror movies is necessary just to make slasher movies even watchable tbh. It's simply a dead genre that only has legs for deconstruction movies or gore porn.

So yeah 2018 Halloween sucks.

have you seen Black Christmas from 1974

The Gore Gore Girls from 1972 is one of my favorites but I dunno if you'd think it was good, seems like exploitation isn't what you're all about

2018 Halloween was great if you like slasher movies. Candyman is the best one though.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

Yeah I remember Black Christmas being good but it doesn't really have the same problems as your average slasher movie. And I love exploitation. Bland exploitation can suck it though. Slasher movies tend to be pretty bland.

Candyman's OK but it has that 90's horror boring quality that's hard to define.

And this to me is the coolest slasher kill. It's low key as ****, but the dude gets lifted off of his feet, stabbed and planted into the wall, and then Michael Myers just kind of looks at his handiwork. That tilt of the head is everything that all the movies trying to be Halloween didn't have. It's not about the death. It's about the killer caring about the death. That is what elevates the scene from horror movie kill to just being kinda ****ing wrong.
