Didn't even know they finally came out with that. I've heard of it being in development for like a decade and a half. Love the book though.

Jarhead (2005).

It's a war film but not an action film, it focuses on the day to day life of a guy in the military during the 1990 Gulf War.

DAMN what a fun movie, I was straight up giddy waiting to see what would happen next. Nic Cage was perfect lol. I want to eat some mushrooms and do a double feature of this and Mandy but I think one can only handle so much mind-bending fuckery.

Go into this one blind if you can. I am aggressively anti-trailers, you have to just let the story tell itself.

Also loved The Color Out of Space, but I couldn’t go in blind since I’d read the story before. Definitely one of my favorite Lovecraft-inspired films
