Alright **** the new A Quiet Place movie coming out cause the Don't Breathe 2 trailer has me hyped. They're gonna rehabilitate the insane deaf marine who tried to inseminate the Last Girl from the first movie with a turkey baster? Like an evil Rambo movie? I'm kinda ****ing intense for that goofy ****.

Got HBO Max and have been going through their movies. Wouldn't mind any recs if y'all got em.

Battle of Algiers - A bit dated in ways but there's still a lot of powerful camerawork and overall it's very moving. **** France.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me - Been a while since I've seen this. Funnier (and darker, much darker) than the original run and makes me want to run the full circuit again.

Godzilla vs. Hedorah - Based environmental message and groovy tunes. Godzilla grooves to its theme and I can't blame em

Mishima - I don't usually go for biopics, but his story was interesting enough to be worth it and it paid off. The lead was great and the interweaving of his novels into the film was well executed.

Knives Out - Definitely a fun watch, not much more.

Burning - One of the best handlings of ambiguity in film that I've ever seen. A slow burn (huehuehuehuehue) but really pays off. The Dance of Great Hunger scene left me floored.

Happy birthday yaay! Try not to turn into an alcoholic before you turn 40 though. That's sad.

Soul (2020) - If you let go of the cynicism and forget about all the clichés, it is quite an enjoyable film. Not many laughs but the last 20 minutes or so are quite emotional which isn't easy to achieve. 3.5/5

I'd like to reiterate that you're a loser. Happy Belated. Loser.

Just noticed this but if HBO Max has Shin Godzilla you should definitely watch that. It's by the same director as Evangelion and it has a much more developed version of the first episode where there's a beaurocracy about how to deal with Godzilla but there's no robots so it gets super into beaurocratic nonsense about how to deal with a natural disaster and it's just weirdly beaurocratic. Its ****ing fantastic.

Pretty sure they have all of the Godzillas. Thinking about running through them all.
