Lemme know whatchu think of Totoro. I started watching it years ago but stopped midway through. Got tired - never felt compelled to finish it - and I love Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.

This is the trailer for it if you haven't seen it yet.

Yeah, I’ve seen a couple trailers for it.

You're a cuck. John Wick is a GOAT action franchise that gives us the modern high budget Jon Woo movies we never got. 4 ruled btw.

John Wick 4 really did go ****ing HARD. My jaw was on the floor for some of those sequences. Still a whole bunch of ultra boring dialogue scenes though

I’d rank them 4>1>3>2 I think.

1 and 4 are excellent

2 and 3 are decent to meh

Like I know what you mean about the dialogue sequences, after the first movie they're essentially standing in for an actual plot to string the action sequences together by being fantastical action movie logic nonsense about the coolest people being ultra competent and stoic (I.e. dumb **** for stupid people) but it's the most gloriously ridiculous worldbuilding that works as well as it needs to and even if I recognize how goofy it is it still sells the world to me through its cohesive tone.

Spoiler for spoiler:
But God damn that whole last sequence from the Arc de Triomphe to the dragon's breath fight in the abandoned house was some of the most beautiful action movie porn I've ever seen. A fight on a busy street in between cars is such a simple concept but the execution was more than I ever even knew I wanted.

And the overhead shot of Keanu Reeves wasting mother****ers with dragon's breath rounds was breathtaking

Some of these people are supposed to be making a Highlander movie and I am beyond stoked.

Regarding your spoiler: yeah, full agreement. Just pure cinematic bliss. My buddies and I were just laughing in pure awe at how awesome everything on screen was. Even the earlier action sequences were outrageous. I loved Donnie Yen’s character, easily my favorite supporting character in a Wick movie

Got my ticket for Enys Men on Wednesday. Pretty sure I'm in for an instant classic.

A Good Person: 3.5/5 - Actually quite liked this. Florence Pugh masterfully portrays someone who's life is going great but then something tragic happens which sends her spiraling out of control. Morgan Freeman can also apparently still act! There's plenty of melodrama in here that you've all seen before but its executed reasonably well with a great soundtrack.

My Neighbor Totoro: 3/5 - Too much "nothing is happening" for me. Totoro himself is awesome but only gets like 10 minutes of screentime. Very cute and pleasant but I prefer many others Miyazakis

Dungeons & Dragons: 3.5/5 - Just a good ol fashioned fun time. Likeable characters go on a zany quest and find themselves in a bunch of silly situations. Kinda feels like a Marvel movie but a lot more free if that makes sense, like they're not being bogged down by studio interference or adhering to a wider narrative. If you don't like MCU type humor you might be bored with this one, but if MCU-style humor works for you then you'll probably laugh and enjoy the antics.

Fun fact. This whole movie was filmed in my immediate neighborhood. I recognized houses down the road from me. I'll have to see the movie to see if my building is in any shots.
