Ramones : End Of The century.

Well put together doc of the seminal band. Recommended for all fans.

Starter For 10.

An underpraised exceptionally played British gem. It follows a guy from a working class background, whose dream is to appear on University Challenge, and attend university. Does'nt sound like much, but it's seet, tender and funny without all the sentimental schmaltz that usually comes with American films (Cameron Crowe excluded). It features a cracking 80's soundtrack-The Cure etc.

Wedding Belles.

A made for T.V 2 hour drama from co writer Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting). It concerns four women exacting revenge on the various men who have done them wrong. It is very funny, foul mouthed ( in authentic Scottish patter-even I struggled to understand some words!), violent, sex fuelled anarchic quality!

I'm sure I saw a clip of that film.
One of the women was crying after dropping a bombshell (something about being raped) and all the while I was transfixed by the long dribble of snot dangling from her nose.

Earthy stuff.

Pirates of the Caribbean 3

Worst. Film. Ever.

Yeah the snot dangle was awesome, but so was the performance-Shirley Henderson is a truly underated actress.

Adiddass-what do you expect? The first one was absolute tosh, so things can only go downhill.

Actually I enjoyed the first one very much, I thought it was funny and entertaining. The second one was tolerable, the third one absolute disaster. I'll definitely try to avoid any future run-ins with Verbinski...

Four Brothers.

This one opens brilliantly, great wintry Detroit location shooting, great soul music soundtrack, and a great opening, alas; it soon dissapeared in a quagmire of cliches and some dodgy acting. Damn shame. I was really hoping for an old school revenge movie.

i just saw wag the dog. Starts out interesting, then gets more and more ridiculous to the point where the original message doesn't make sense. Great Acting though :>
