You're obviously out of touch with real world cinema. Or anything else for that matter. See there's being an elitist, which is one thing, and there's being a total douchebag, which would be the category in which you would reside.

Not recognising other people's taste, and making personal attacks at them makes you look like a total fool, in more than one thread mind you. As for advice... Quit posting... period. You have nothing productive to say, your body is best used as compost at this point.

I was on a double date the other night and got dragged along to this. It was on a big screen outdoors as part of this summer festival thing I've been at for the last few days. Just as horrible an experience as when I last saw it.

Just watched this.

Man, it is so sad in the scene when Dwayne (I think that's his name) finds out he is colour-blind

^ Aw really? How come? I really liked it! Especially that scene where Dwayne freaks out, it just really got to me. I thought the cast were great but so was the movie in general. Just really loved everything about it.

Come on guy I wasn't being serious. I don't think it was a particularity good movie but it wasn't bad. If you don't take it serious and see it for what is and trying to be a sci fi action movie (with more action than sci fi) it's quite good. I'm not calling Micheal Bay a cinematic genius but he does know how to make a decent action movie from time to time. And I never said the acting was bad, Gary Oldman did a good job a moronic heroin junkie and Chloe Webb did an amazing job as Nancy, but my complaints aren't with the acting it's with the inaccurate story and why this was ever needed to be made.

I'm sorry that you've taken such offense to the fact that I think your taste in film is absolute shit. Maybe if you watched better films you wouldn't have this problem? I don't know, that seems like a good solution. What is "real world cinema" ? That means nothing. You're a music fan, I assume, since you're posting on this site. If the type of shite films that you like are what you would consider "real world cinema" then am I allowed to say that Nickelback and Miley Cyrus are "real world music" with which you're obviously just out of touch? Or can we accept that the general population has awful taste in music, just like you have awful taste in film, and leave meaningless terms like "real world cinema" that you've invented to make yourself feel better about your taste, out of the discussion completely?

Also, up to this point...I hadn't made a single personal attack. In fact I don't think I'd said anything notably douchebaggy. Apparently you just really don't like it when someone says "That film was directed by Michael Bay..."

I saw that recently - I loved it. Some of the stuff in there was just brilliantly done. The first sex scene when they get into the new apartment made me laugh.
