It's been a while since I had seen this and I was reminded how damn good it is. Effects are only part of the story as identity and acceptance is a major component of the film and it's handled intelligently.

The opening nightcrawler scene still looks bloody fantastic and it's continuation of character over effects is to be applauded.

I will admit to thinking this was a trashy B movie about crocodiles. Instead it's a low budget, low key but very well constructed true tale of 3 people stranded with only a croc for company in the swamps of Australia. Much better than I thought it would be.

A very intriguing premise of the public frustration of criminal injustice. However it collapses in on itself in the last half hour and loses focus and becomes a standard revenge movie. Was completely shocked to find a few scenes shot in my home town not 20 minutes walk away from my house!

How did you like the last one? I didn't think it was as good as the first two.

A near 80 Y.O old shooting the crap out of the locals? Hmmm. If the film takes a moral stance and has some salient points about injustice then it could work or it if it flipped on it's head and becomes a B movie and is trashy fun then maybe. Worth a look out though I think. Cheers for the heads up though as my movie knowledge has taken a very big back seat recently which annoys the crap out of me TBH.

A beautiful movie about the banality of one man's life and how the world is perceived by others. One of the Coen Bros' best. Definitely check it out.

I just got done watching Mulholland Drive and The Science of Sleep. Both were well-done. Mulholland Drive scared the **** out of me. Blended with the heavy rain and thunder has resulted in my lack of sleep tonight.

I was close to tears too, want to share a box of tissues? Man-size, of course.

I remember the first time i watched Mulholland Dr, I couldn't sleep but it was more of over excitement. I felt so creative after watching that thing, so many ideas flowing through my head.
The scene of La Llorona de Los Angeles can easily be the best scene in movie history. I actually wrote a plot the very next day, and entered filmmaking the very next month.

Watching right now:

Enjoying it for now.
