I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

PA definitely had it's moments, but overall.. I've seen much scarier. I just think it's funny to hear that some people thought those were actual recordings, the retards. at the end of the movie there's even a giant disclaimer, THIS IS A FICTIONAL ACCOUNT.

Half decent direction?

Paul WS Anderson is one of the worst directors working in Hollywood today. You can think him for the Resident Evil movies.

Mortal Kombat is his best film, that one was at least watchable.

There are a thousand directors worse than Anderson in Hollywood and I would much rather watch him knock out a B movie with an A budget than the endless crappy 'Horror' or rom com films that regularly take a shit in our cinemas.

Blame studios for Resident Evil. Although Anderson's 1st film and subsequent scripts for the following two (he didn't direct them) were a massive let down regarding the game fanboys, he was the fall guy as George A Romero was originally commissioned to script and direct and when he presented his version the studios crapped themselves as it was too dark and wouldn't have appealed to the games demographic. Kinda ironic when the games themselves have been heavily influenced by Romero in the first place.

BTW Event Horizon is far from a bad film and Death Race was enjoyable nonsense.

Paul WS Anderson may be bad, but he's certainly better at video game adaptions than Uwe Boll.

What I mean is, he's one of the worst directors to enjoy a lot of mainstream success.

He's not quite Michael Bay or Roland Emmerich bad though.

Paul W S Anderson would be half decent if he didn't write his own films.

Oh man, I know. This idiotic guy I know was convinced it was real footage. How could it possibly be real if they filmed 3 different endings to it? People are silly.

Saw these two this evening.

A lot worse than I thought it would be (and my hopes were already low). A bag of wank.

A lot better than I expected. Worth seeing once. A half-decent concept.
