If it's any consolation I'm yet to see it.

There must be a reason that it's critically acclaimed and earned megabux?

Derr..... apparently it has "groundbreaking special effects." And Cameron directed it.... people like that for some reason.

I thought it was fun for what it was. Obviously not a great movie, but I wouldn't say total trash. Just... a sci fi action thing... that's it.

Trash?

It's not without it's faults but cotdayum, I think some of you people have spent way too much f*cking time going to RT for all of your recommendations and you have forgotten what a bad movie actually is.

Unobtainium? Are you ****ing serious? That's ridiculous. Not to mention the ****ing marine officer type. Can you find a more cliche actor?

I'll admit it was fun to look at for a bit, but I couldn't make it 3 hours.

Unobtanium actually is a real term used to describe some elements that scientists know have to exist, but haven't been found yet.

I'm not kidding, this is straight from my science teacher's mouth. Of course it's possible he's wrong. And anyhow, it doesn't really fit into the context of Avatar.

Unobtainium is a pretty lame word, but if I recall it was a word created by Ribisi's character as a joke.

Also, I thought the marine guy was hysterical, he may have been stereotypical and over the top, but that actually made him pretty entertaining.
