I finally made it through Amelie, the 2001 french film about the girl that loves skipping rocks and being quirky. I liked it actually

Crime film about a squad of undercover cops who use unorthodox tactics in their pursuits of criminals on charges which carry a sentence of seven years or more. I'm pretty sure I saw this back in the 70's, in a theater, but I guess it didn't leave much of an impression on me at that time. The car chase seemed vaguely familiar but that was about all I remembered of the film. Entertaining from start to finish.

I last watched "Road house" - 1989 on VHS

Early B&W crime film about a young gangster at the top of his game in organized crime, deciding to leave his position in the underworld and live the life of a wealthy retiree. Circumstances end up pulling him back into his former business. Lew Ayres in the starring role and featuring James Cagney in his second film appearance.

A crime thriller about a private detective who gets caught up in a web of drama and intrigue shortly after he's hired by his former partner to discreetly return a passed-out young woman from a motel room to her home. Pretty good performance from "Ol' Blue Eyes" in the starring role.

I remember watching some movie with Sinatra where he was the opposite of memorable. Just a total non presence, none of the charm you normally associate with him. I wish I could say which movie it was but it was so boring I genuinely don't remember a single thing about it except how boring Sinatra's onscreen presence was.

Not saying he didn't have good roles but that one, whatever the hell it was, wasn't one!

I've only seen three other films that he's starred in; 'Suddenly', 'The Man with the Golden Arm', and 'Lady in Cement' and I thought he gave good performances in all of them. 'Lady in Cement' is another detective flick where he plays the character of Tony Rome.

Here's one from the "so bad, it's good" category...

A low-budget story about a masked Mexican wrestler who fights crime on the side while wearing his wrestling costume. This one is an odd combination of crime, horror, and wrestling but it managed to be as entertaining as it was ridiculous.

I last saw the movie 'Its a low down dirty shame' (1994) on VHS :)

Classic B&W crime film about a small-time thug with big-time ambitions in the crime world. He ruthlessly works his way up the organized crime ladder in pursuit of his twisted dream to "be somebody."

A circus in England becomes the focal point for a police investigation into an armed robbery at Tower Bridge in London, where a guard was murdered during the heist. Entertaining crime drama with various plot twists and turns. I couldn't find a suitable poster of the film in English but I found a good Italian one which translates as "The Long Knife of London."
