Pan's Labyrinth

Objectively, it was a good movie. Really wasn't my thing though, can't say I enjoyed it.

^Now that's another surprising thing!

I'm guessing you liked it?

IDK, I couldn't watch Pan's in a couple parts, especially when the chick shoved the knife in the guys mouth. Oh, and the pistol-butt beating was really gruesome.

i tried to watch this movie but the ****ty video store i rented it from had a scratched up copy that wouldn't work; it kept skipping and i couldnt get through it. but i do remember an especially crude scene where the commander or whoever smashed a dude's face in with the bottom of wine bottle.

i should get it from a different place or something.

I loved that some of the scenes are crude. Without these scenes, it would appear as some lame innocent fairy tale.

Saw Prince Of Persia today at the cinema. I really loved it. I haven't played the game so I can't comment on how true it was to that, but as entertainment it was perfect.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but when I offer mine I get accused of me thinking my taste is better than everyone elses?

Er never mind. I was in a bad mood... and just being an arsehole... sorry about that.

Ghost World - 9/10

Watched this years ago and liked it, but I don't think I quote grasped it as much as I did last night. Amazing film, very funny, very witty and the whole concept of individuals not being able to relate to someone is a great tightrope for a storyline to walk across. Steve Buscemi at his absolute best, this movie makes me wish he had major roles in more movies as he's usually amongst the sub cast and his talent isn't projected as much as it definitely should be. The scene where Enid is working at the cinema had me howling.. genius!
