I was in the mood for a film with a sedate pace and this was perfect. Full of subtle moments and some stunning cinematography coupled with subdued but perfectly nuanced performances, this is a must see for world cinema fans looking for something a little more relaxed. Not to everyones tastes though, some people may be bored rigid by it but at an hour and 20 mins, it doesn't outstay it's welcome.

It was ****ing awesome. Much better than when I watched it just after the book. I also have a sickening crush on Sickboy now

The film cost around £1.5 million and has more wit, style, intelligence and panache that many films with 100 x the budget. Now make sure you get the soundtrack and stretch your wings Films that are hyped to death and loved by virtually everyone lose appeal after multiple viewings but I still enjoy the film every single time I see it.

I still find it hard to fathom that people are just getting around to watching it. |
