Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Strangely enough, I had actually never seen this movie before. I thought it was decent but not great. It seemed like they were trying to make a trippy, 2001-esque kind of a movie, and they succeeded to an extent, but I don't think that kind of a movie works out to be a very good fit for the Star Trek characters.

Was it at least ferociously suspenseful?

Yeah, they definitely were trying to cash in on the 2001 craze. The effects shots were almost painful they were so long and drawn out. It was still an enjoyable movie, though. I am glad they changed the uniforms again with the Wrath of Kahn...those pajama looking things were just not going to work.

^Pretty much sums up the state we live in. On both sides, if we're in our lands, or abroad. Good Lebanese music used in there (except for damn Nancy Ajram butting in, in every Arabic film I've seen). Anyway, good film.

I don't think the Arabic film industry will ever do a film that doesn't talk about the war with Israel or Immigration any time soon. Well Immigration mostly, and now Racism (Thank you Bush for the new material).
So for now, this is all we got, loathing the land we live in until we find something better to do. Ugh, I know realise how depressed this film made me. Feel good movie my ass!

that review completely sold me on watching this

i watched Antichrist over the week-end....i am still blown away by how beautiful it was...nopt as 'shocking' as i thought it might be....but absolute eye candy....and i thought it had a remarkable script

then i poisoned my mind last night with

it was not that good considering the people in the movie...i was think it would be a bit more crass...yet i laughed out loud a couple of times and had no problem watching the entire thing.....
