I feel like Pixar produces a dependable mediocrity. I watched Aladdin for the first time in a long while the other day and I think it blows pretty much every Pixar movie out of the water.

In 2D, there's an infinite possibility, you can just draw anything you want without having to work with a team to get the mouth to move.

What I hate about Pixar, is their short films, that is ruining the whole medium, and making it harder for independent filmmakers to show their work.

I don't think anyone of us, will change his opinion, so I don't see what's the use of talking.

i would argue the possibilities are similarly endless in 3D. and at this point, i doubt a team is required to get a mouth to move.

i'm not sure i see how pixar's short films make it harder for anyone else to show off their work.

the use of talking is to explain one's opinion and to engage in a 'conversation'.

That's my 5th for now...

To get back on track - watched this one, Monday night:

It's funny, but if you're watching it on the big screen, it gets unbearably annoying at the middle, with a film that has no moments of silence, or just low ones.
Still, I really liked it.

As sound as it sounds Joise and The Pussycats. I watched it yesterday morning before school and I laughed. I thought it was funny when I was 8 and I still think it's funny.

I really enjoyed it, Bale's performance was brilliant.

I cried when I saw what he did to his beautiful body
But, I guess it's what made the movie all the more powerful.

The last film I watched was Dr Jekyll et les femmes by Walerian Borowczyk

Uhm...weird. Some twisted retelling of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. This is the third Borowczyk film I've seen so far and the guy really liked to dig deep into the deviant corners of our subconsciousness, especially in La bête (which reminds me I have to see that film again).

Bale has a really psychotic edge about him, I think the teeth contribute to his wacko demeanour. I kind of like him though.

It was a bit predictable, cliché, typical... but mostly enjoyable.
