I watched this on tv last night and it was the oddest and most bizzare film i've seen in a long time. It's an alright film, wasn't anything special, but it was such a weird film to watch even by my standards.

It was okay. There was a **** ton of symbolism which suffocated the entire movie. And it's pretty much the story of pocahontas with some sci-fi.

I said the exact same thing after I saw it too.

This film is very interesting to say the list. Actually, I really liked it when i watched it. It certainly made an impression.

Any symbolism in this movie was either painfully obvious or accidental. A bit like the newer Star Wars films.

Visually it's a very nice film to watch, i just thought the plot could have been better. I thought the bit where he was going to be executed and suddenly there's a mass orgy just completely odd! Also the bit at the end where he returns to Paris, pours perfume on himself and gets eaten alive is a very bizarre conclusion. I must watch it again sometime.

On T.V this afternoon for the umpteenth time and even though I have this on DVD with a better PQ, I still had to watch it. Classic Sunday afternoon fodder.

You probably should watch it again... because it seems as though you may have been distracted and didn't realize what was going on in the movie......
