wow....i really like both of your takes on the ending.....i had honestly never even thought of your Janszoon.....personally i felt
Spoiler for pi:
that he had actually found God through the codes....but the human mind cannot take this much knowledge....thus the only thing he could do was to perform self-trepanation to release the pressure....and upon doing that he was able to see the real answer....simplicity

Eh, it was ok. Not really my thing. It was a little too "cute" for my taste. 5/10

Welcome To The Dollhouse

Brilliantly dark and hilarious. That Brandon kid was so funny in a really messed up way. 9/10

Teeth
Might be one of the funniest most messed up movie I've ever seen. The whole time me and my friends were watching it we were like WTF IS THIS. 7.5/10

i agree 100% with 500 Days Of Summer....it was cute and a somewhat realistic Rom-Com....but not exactly my thing....both Welcome to the Dollhouse and Teeth are such great dark comedies

Everything and nothing like I imagined. I DID expect a dialogue heavy film but I DIDN'T expect it to end how it did.

Almost Shakesperian in it's use of dialogue and one room setting throughout most of it's running time. Superbly acted and if you watch closely enough and listen to the way the dialogue is spoken and by whom then you can fathom the film out even though it's not a puzzle in effect.

If you watch this expecting a generic gangster film then you will be severely disappointed and despite the content and DVD cover you will find barely no violence and torture it ascribes to.

did you enjoy it?

My answer is as enigmatic as the film :)

I purposefully left out what I feel about the film because I don't know myself!

Oh c'mon. You may not have liked it but sucked? so the one camera technique, dialogue and fractured timeline use all sucked too?

It may not have been all I expected but it it had many plus points.

Yeah, I thought it sucked, but I purely meant I didn't enjoy it. The techniques applied were nice, but that doesn't mean the movie was particularly entertaining. I more than open minded enough to sometimes enjoy these tpes of movie but nothing engaged me at all.

It was a good movie. Mark Zuckerberg was completley unlikeable though and Shawn Fanning was a badass.

Saw True Grit. It was okay. Jeff Bridges played his role perfectly, everyone else was ehhh. The story was also ehhhh.

TRON: Legacy
http://filmonic.com/wp-content/uploa...acy-poster.jpg

Saw this after seeing the original TRON a week ago, and i think that while both movies' visual styles are distinct and fun to look at, Legacy had a better story and characters that i was more invested in and got me hooked. this isn't a pulse pounding action the whole way through, but the meditative style of this was something that i really appreciated to watch.
