It was ok i guess, the storyline was complete **** but the film was so offbeat that it kind of worked. Some brilliantly funny lines in it though.

love that movie!!

absolutely brilliant, i love the way it's split into 3 parts: before, during, and after the war.
this the best war film i've seen thus far.

yeah, i felt pretty underwhelmed by this movie too, I didn't really see its charm other than how offbeat it was, like you said.

Butterfly Effect 2

I saw this one along time ago but since I started off by watching the first one I decided to watch the second one again to refresh my memory. I didn't really like this offering. They decided to give a nod at least to acknowledge the first movie with one of the scenes. I just felt like they were retelling the first one with a different guy is all. He was trying to save his gf that died in a car accident.

I really liked this one very much because the main character at least thought about the consequences and knew about different rules to follow.
Spoiler for :
I was able to guess the ending though just because of the actress that was playing his sister. She is typecast-ed to be the villain in a few movies I have seen her in.

hmmmm....the opening 6 minuets is a realistic take on a DMT trip....the next 2 hours 30 minutes is like having your mind raped from behind...

as always with Noe this is absolute eye and brain candy...and would probably kill an epileptic....boy does he love that revolving camera....

this is not for everyone....but i think a must see....there was actually a part that made me nauseous...but not so much "can't look so gross" just not expecting such gritty reality....

great soundtrack for those of you who love all aspects of electronic music....includes a homage to Delia Derbyshire....and a Throbbing Gristle and Coil track...amongst a very eclectic electronic score

I thought it was overlong, repetitive and without much of a point, but yeah, a must see...if nothing else for the hilarity of the penis entering the vagina scene...SHOCKING.

I thought it would be a much bigger head trip but the story is actually very straightforward.

As far as the soundtrack, someone actually asked me about it and I told them I didn't even notice it. I guess there is one after all...;)

the vaginal cam was rather entertaining

yeah it was pretty straight forward "we float until we find another body to encompass" we are all connected type deal...with a smidge of Tim Leary's concept of the psychedelic experience

i kind of feel that seeing Noes films are simply for the eye candy and a kind of "what's this crazy french guy up to now" feeling

thats funny i noticed the soundtrack quite a bit....i did not catach the Throbbing gristle song....but i did catch that when he dies and ascends to whatever it is coil thats playing

this could be the next big "take drugs to" movie....

adidasss 01-07-2011 01:20 PM

You'd think so but I actually think it's more interesting to see it when you're sober. I think introducing drugs to the experience would have an adverse effect. :\

I'm looking forward to Tron on some mild acid tho...(:

actually i agree with 100%....i would not ever watch a movie hell bent on over stimulation while in that state of mind....actually i would never watch a movie in that state of mind....kind of ruins the idea of taking psychedelics

however i feel that if this was to gain popularity (which it likely won't) it would become the "cool" movie to watch while trippin'

saw Black Swan again. Really good still, definitely my favorite film of 2010.
