The Revanant

It really stuck with me. Beautiful scenery, fairly decent story line (a little reminiscent of Platoon with Fitzgeralds character), and acting. The gore was what made it stand out for me though. I get bruises from just watching Jackass type clips, so sitting through all that made it burn into my psyche like a hot knife through butter. The GF is a huge animal rights activist, and I set it up for her to watch it tonight on the 60" in HD. It'll be interesting to see how far into it she gets.

GREEN ROOM

Not as good as I'd expected. Too much of the film is shot in the dark where it's hard to tell what's going on. American History X did a better job of depicting skinheads too. Still, not a bad flick.

EDGE OF TOMORROW

Finally got Linda to watch this. Such a fun movie which get's better (and funnier) with repeated viewings. There's no one better than Cruise at playing this sort of role and Emily Blunt is simply my favorite actress out there right now.
