Saw it when it first came out and needed a bunch of time before seeing it again.

Oddly enough, I've been on a classic Noir binge for the past 3 weeks. Been watching 1 or 2 per evening, re-watching a few well-known titles of the genre and, mostly, watching some of the lesser-known ones I haven't seen before.

Touch of Evil is one of my favorites. May have to watch it again and refresh my memory.

Yeah, it's one of my favorites as well. Apparently, before the movie was released Orson Welles sent a letter to the studio about his displeasure of their cut and outlined a bunch of details for how to fix it to get it to his vision. I got a blu ray where they did their best to recut it and include some additional scenes to get it as close to his vision as possible. Gotta say, it's worth a watch if you like the original theatrical version.

Do you have any recommendations? I'm moving on to the Third Man next, but I need more!

I just watched The Third Man, that one's excellent, especially the soundtrack. Have you seen Alphaville (French space-noir), Night of the Hunter, or Compulsion?

I have not - they are going on my list. French space-noir sounds fascinating.
