I'm still pretty much obsessed with Black Hawk Down and can watch that film anytime.

figured I would grab it as a companion to "The Great Dictator".

Bought it recently on DVD, but figured I would give it a go on blu ray now.

Neglected watching it, but the few people whose tastes i usually respect have told me they like it. Plus, at $7.99 can't go wrong.

Suppose. DVDs are pretty cheap though I pick according to reviews. Some terrible review judgements obviously.

... And I have a bad debt to video rentals lol.

I really liked Daybreakers, I mean it had Willem Dafoe killing vampires with crossbows and muscle cars. Not only that but it has a really nice run time so nothing feels drawn out, an awesome 3rd act, and shockingly relevant social commentary on the subject of dwindling resources. That's how a fucking genre film should be.

Night of the Living Dead (1990)

Generally I don't give remakes the time of day, but I was feeling charitable today. My local record store pretty much just gets by on its used DVD sales so I figured I'd throw them a bone. I also use to have the 1968 original but have no idea where it is, my guess is I either lent it to someone who never gave it back or I sold it sometime before I moved.

The plot can be picked at but there are some fantastic and subtle visuals in the film and looks fantastic for it's meager budget. I was very impressed with this.
