The graphics are extremely hampered by the grainy filter that turns the already grayish brown feel of current video game graphics into even more blotchy. For a game that's all about fast paced combos while doing acrobatic moves, it seems to make it as hard to see what you're shooting at as it possibly can. Not only that... the voice acting is pretty fucking sub par and it has 3 major Hollywood actors doing the voices. All in all... I may just send this game back to Gamefly tomorrow because in the hour and a half that I played I felt neither entertained nor impressed.

Seems awfully backwards to put grainy graphics in action style game.

What does sub par mean :o:?

Is it actually that bad? The cover of it looks as if it's going to be a pretty decent game too, that's a shame it's ****ty. Does gamefly offer a full refund? :) If so, then that's lucky!

Below passing level. Like, it basically sucks.

Also, I'm really disappointed when a game has a cool cover and ends up sucking, but I guess that's like judging a movie on it's trailer.

Ah right, isn't an expression here.

Also, never judge a book by it's cover. That's what I was taught at primary school :).

Downloaded the AVP multiplayer demo for 360. It was a ridiculous decision by the developers to only make it a deathmatch demo. The game will clearly be more intense and enjoyable when the Aliens, Predators and Marines are seperate factions, rather than jumbling them together into an incohesive mess. I think the final game will be good, based upon how each species plays, but the demo itself is a poor representation of a promising game. It may do more damage for the final product than good.

I've heard negative things about this game but, if it's supposed to resemble a grindhouse film than a lot of these things are intentional design choices rather than anything that is genuinely broken about the game.

I mean, the voice acting SHOULD be bad if that's what it's going for.

Enough retro posts! Anyone played Mass Effect 2? It sounds awesome.

Anyone else psyched for Bioshock 2 in a couple of days?

I'm really into Tales Of The Abyss currently. Just finished up Tales Of Vesperia.

I just completed Skate 2 which was actually quite a good game. Probably the best skateboarding game I've ever played at least!

I have started on Mass Effect 2, but while I thought the first was good, I'm not a super diehard fan. I expect it will be good, but I also expect there will be tons of overrated and slightly boring dialogue and generic quests where you hunt down NPCs you need to talk to and so on .. My motivation is rather average. ;)

I'm really looking forward to Bioshock 2 though. Really!

Sent back Wet this afternoon and picked this up a few days ago. So far I'm really enjoying it, the fast paced action and more comic-styled script does wonders. I also really like doing the side missions to help clean up the city, if only to stop me from being attacked at all sides whenever I so much as try and stick a pinky finger out on the street. The story is a tad bit predictable but I can overlook that because the gameplay is a lot of fun and shooting people in the balls with 50,000 volts of electricity never looses its appeal.
