I know that it has a system of responses as you say that control the development of the game which is something that I like, I first remember seeing this many years ago in the first instalment of Shen-Mue on the Dreamcast.

Oh the quick-time events in Heavy Rain are far more complicated than just pressing X not to die. For example, you also play as an FBI agent in the game and I was following a set of clues and came to a muddy hill I had to traverse. In doing so you have to hold onto a series of buttons and if you let go of one of the previous buttons or fail to press the newest requested one, you fall down the hill. After I finally did it, I was pretty much covered head to toe in mud. However I knew all of these things going into the game, it's just taking a while to get use to them.

Most modern games today, have a complex sequence of quick time button pressing, that at times you think you are never going to do, but it always just falls into place, its all part of gameplaying. Apart from that, what other game would you compare it to in style or quality?

Right now I am playing Aliens Vs. Predator for the PC.

I like it, but I feel that it could have been so much better.

AVP (the 1999 version) and AVP2 were so much better.

Rebellion tried to make the game too modern, like CoD. I miss being able to run without getting out of breath every 4 seconds. Also the weapon selection is so small. Predators get 5 weapons and humans get 5 too. In AVP 99 both species got so much more.

Not being able to crouch is a big strike against the game too.

Also the Aliens wall transition feels so awkward now too, They changed it to mouse 3 instead of shift.

Finally we can't join a game in progress even with dedicated servers and that is a HUGE STRIKE against it. This is the PC version, and with PC games there are some things you just EXPECT. Rebellion's AVP 99 (Now called Classic 2000) was a much fuller experiece despite being over a decade old.

Recently got myself a PSONE because I like retro. Save points are annoying though.

Finished the 1p campaign in the latest Wolfenstein game from 2009 a week or so ago. When I first started on the campaign, I got a pretty bad impression but some more minutes in and the game was actually fun. The quality is generally not very high - the levels are not extremely imaginative, the graphics are not terribly good, the enemies are not very exciting, the weapons are not great - and so on, but somehow it all made for a reasonably good experience overall. It had easy entertainment value and mixing a strong lovecraftish occult theme with nazis certainly has appeal.

Fun if not extremely memorable FPS!

Mario Kart, and Mortal Kombat 4. Brutal Legend because of the soundtrack.

I just beat Assassin's Creed 2 and didn't understand anything that was going on. It was a pretty fun game though.

Mega Man 4, 5, 6 and 7 don't get enough credit.

If people are gonna crap on them for not bringing anything new to the table and running out of ideas for robot masters then fine.

But don't go on to praise the f*ck out of Mega Man 9, which doesn't even follow up on the features introduced in those games, hypocritcal douchebags.
