Talking about Madagascar and Greenland sucking **** makes me want to play Warcraft III's Risk custom game. Damn, that was a lot of fun.

The old developers were 3D Realms, but they're no more I think. Now the projects gone on to someone who knows how to finish what they start, but of course since I played the earlier Duke Nukems and had a blast with Duke Nukem 3D, I would've liked to see 3D Realms put that game out .. But they had their chance over and over again, so.

I remember I saw this in the late 90s and my mind was blown :p:

Everytime I've seen game footage, I've gotten the impression a lot of the game was basically done.

I'm going to try a delve back into Half Life. Starting with the first one, which I've never beaten, and moving on up through Half Life 2 and the episodes. Hopefully it won't take 3 years for Episode 3 to be released and I can make that part of my cycle. I <3 these games

I haven't beaten the first one on the PC or the PS2 as well.

I would have liked to see 3D Realms do it, too. But I'm just as happy that Gearbox, of all people, got it.

SplatterHouse 2 Sega Genesis.

So I downloaded Resident Evil 5 and I gotta say... I'm not impressed.
I know I'm a little late on it, but still.
When did the RE franchise get so predictable?

Here is a rundown:
- cutscene
- a couple zombies
- a lot of zombies
- cutscene
- boss
- cutscene
- a couple zombies
- a lot of zombies
- something comes out of a few zombies
- cutscene
- boss
- cutscene
- something comes out of a lot of zombies
- more zombies
- cutscene
- boss
- cutscene
- etc, etc...

It's not fun like that.
And Sheva, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY. THERE ISN'T ROOM FOR 500 ZOMBIES PLUS YOU, ALL UP ON MY SHIT, 24/7. It impedes my ability to run away, due to there never being enough bullets and health items around.

And the machete is a joke.
You'd probably deal out more damage with a well-placed ho slap.

Bring puzzles back, too.

djchameleon 02-13-2011 03:24 PM

yeah I think they tried to streamline RE too much and that is the result of it.

just like how they streamlined Final Fantasy with FF13, it's because of that's what this generation of fps gamers want and they keep feeding into it.
