In all seriousness, I still remember my first Big Daddy fight quite well. Without much previous practice, it was a challenge although they didn't really pose that much of a problem later on. Get some security on your team (hack those things) and you'll figure out how to take'em down soon enough with a little practice.

Big daddies are so cool. They might just be my favourite "creature" or monster from any FPS.

My favorite creatures from any game ever are the giants in Shadow Of The Colossus. I don't think I've ever played a more beautifully desolate landscape of a game who's only enemies were so sparse yet jarringly outstanding and epic and inspire such conflicting anticipation and dread as you ride into battle knowing you're the only person in the world and there is no chance of not being targeted.

Definitely, I still recall my first battle with a Colossi very intimately. I just stared at it for like 5 minutes, then checked to make sure I was still playing a PS2 because the graphics and textures were so above just about anything else I had ever played. I then changed in and got squished... however eventually I found it's weak spots and brought the beast down to save my dearly beloved.

I loved that all the colossi were different and more challenging to the point of WHAT THE FUCK!!! It definitely provided hours and hours of play time.

The ending pissed me off though. I was invested by then and what happened almost pissed me off on a personal level. "I did all this! ALL OF THIS!! and this is what happens to me???? MOTHERFUCKERS!!! Haha...

Yeah it certainly was a game where the journey is worth more than the destination. Sometimes it works, but in Shadow of the Colossus I don't think it did a good job at it.

The journey was definitely worth it for me, period. I mean... I haven't played it in a couple years and I know I've forgotten how to get to all the weak spots on each colossi, and another go-round would take nearly as long. Not to mention riding around the country on the horse all alone in that scenery is breath-taking. I just wouldn't have as much motivation, knowing the particular ending.

Maybe if they let you be the last colossus a lot longer and really stomp the hell out of those pricks, it would have been nice. But, I mean, the ending is still poetic. It was just one of those endings you would have wanted to unfold differently.
