Jennifer Hudson wowed me in this movie. Back from American Idol i knew she got the pipes but she took it to the next level. She's like the next Aretha Franklin. And for the first time, in this movie, I saw Beyonce being upstaged by someone which is odd enough compared to her girl group days where she always gets 9.9/10 attention.

that's an absoulte fave of mine - not guilty pleasure - it's a pretty groundbreaking film for its time
