Ha yeah saw it a couple of weeks ago, I facepalmed at first but it got a few laughs out of me, haven't seen it on TV since though.

The new Family Guy is unwatchable. 20 cutaways isn't even a stretch. It's so old, and Seth does the same thing with American Dad and Cleveland Show. Oh well. SP is definitely better to me, but there are people who think cutaway comedy is the joke that never gets old.

With that being said, Family Guy's original run was actually decent.

I had incredibly low expectations, especially since it was a mid season replacement for Allen Gregory (one of the most embarrassing projects ever undertaken). It surprised me when I found the show quite funny, with a lot of jokes reminiscent of some of the early seasons of The Simpsons, but another side of me missed the more off-beat humor of the film.

You know, I used to have a bias against American Dad, but since watching it from the early seasons on I've discovered it's much different from Family Guy. There are actual plots and a lot of great character development, it's kind of reminiscent of Futurama, almost.

Which speaking of, is a far superior show even now.

I like Futurama more than Family Guy and all Seth's shows. I just never watched it a lot.

I like Archer and Metalocolypse as far as animated shows I haven't seen mentioned. The first 6 seasons of King of the Hill and Beavis & Butthead as well.

American Dad is easily the best Seth show. Futurama is probably the best cartoon series of all-time really, but I enjoy Archer a LOT.

I don't know about that. Futurama got kind of week after it got picked back up, and the original material isn't really on par with the early Simpsons.

Also, does anyone like Superjail? It's super trippy and just insane, but its pretty good.

Family Guy beats South Park hands down for me. Family Guy doesn't get stale and repetitive the way SP typically does.

When you throw the Simpsons in the mix it is a different story. Who can argue with 20 plus years of creativity??

When after 15 years that creativity starts to get dull. The Simpsons has gone downhill big time. Just saying though, Family Guy is the epitome of repetitive comedy.

I can understand a lot of your dislikes towards Family Guy, but I challenge you..
Name me one show which is more consistently laugh out loud funny.
