I really want to see it as it just came out where I live! But now I'm not so sure... it was really that bad?

It is every bit as bad
it alternates between being really boring and really funny
and the camera work is so try hard....and freaking annoying (and I like blairwitch)

Mmm yeah Blairwitch was a pretty alright movie, it seems that all these "copycat" films where the whole amateur hand-held camera thing is employed turn out to be ultimate fails. I wonder what other people on the boards thought of it...

Yet again another example of Hollywood's inability to make a decent remake. Let's hope that Death Race is a n exception to the rule. It stars Jason Statham, so it at least merits a watch

I'm looking forward to The Day The Earth Stood Still - another remake. Of a 1950s film that I loved. Hope I'm not let down.

Oh god no, that looks like another balls up. The original is classic and this just looks overblown. If it was'nt a remake it might be a good film but the original was about the emotional connection between the boy and the robot. This looks like it's about blowing stuff up

I know you're probably right. This makes me sad. But I'm such a sucker for old sci-fi films that I get excited when they get remade.

There was rumours years ago that they were going to remake the classic Sinbad films (Golden Voyage etc) but I'm glad they did'nt. I love those movies and Ray Harryhausen (stop motion F/X) is a genius. He did them all on his own in his garage sometimes taking up to four months for 5 minutes of screen time.

Really! Man I am glad they didn't remake those movies, too. They're classics. I didn't know about the whole doing it in his garage thing, that's crazy.
