Anyways. My point is this. Are we reading books to pass some kind of literary exam, or should the reading matter be a little less heavy?
I would hope that it's a nice mix. I have read 'Crime And Punishment' once and got half way through it before needing something a little lighter! It's still sat in my cupboard and I actually picked it up two days ago and then changed my mind at the last minute!

I am in too...I would suggest inter-library loan if you don't want to buy it...or like me...have to order it because the closest book stroe is 40 miles from where I live and I have no driver's license.

I edited my previous reply to this. I originally misunderstood your above post.

1. Are we going to put some dates on this?? Certainly a "Finish by" date and possibly a "alright we're all going to get after it" date?

I'm thinking if people know when the discussion will begin we can space our free time better. Also, I'm thinking we should try to avoid spoilers, no?

2. I don't know if the person recommending it could post a little blurb, not uncommon to whats written on the back or on amazon? Just so we know what we're getting into?

Again, I love this idea. I was looking for a site to do this on but why not with people we're open with?
As I said we're going to kind of structure it as we go. But I'm for making a separate thread, do we want to discuss the book as soon as we all finish and let people jump in as they complete it or in blocks?

How does an actual book club work?
