I've made an earnest effort to watch Love, Death and Robots on Netflix. Got to 10/18 episodes before deciding this product is not for me. Lots of gore, tits, violence, some dark fantasy and sci-fi. Animation is mostly standard, galaxies removed from the brilliant Animatrix, and only a few stories were interesting. Meant for and made by heterosexual men stuck in the past (based or inspired by Heavy metal from the 80s). 2/5

You say that like it's a bad thing

It was a good distraction for me while I suffered in silence. The CGI throughout was what intrigued me the most though. I've always aspired to get to that level of animating, but I'm still just a low level wannabe with just enough Maya knowledge to impress my friends. Sometimes even thats a bit of a stretch.

Examples please. Also, I hate you - guitar god and now animation, er, god. Boo. :)

Just finished The Flight Attendant. Very very good. Keeps you guessing right up to the end, deals out the twists at just the right moment, many WTF moments. Smart, funny, at times tragic, superbly written and with a good cast. Recommended. Only eight episodes. Went through it in three days.

Yeah I think you might be the right target audience. If you were a fan of the original Heavy Metal magazine, then this is right up your alley.

Not my cup of tea though.

I don’t get too excited about TV in general,
but due to the loosening of pandemic regulations,
a bunch of series are starting to film again at the
same time with quite a few of the ones that I’ve
really liked returning this fall - also at nearly the
same time. Excited to see that Season 8 of Endeavour,
S4 of Unforgotten, S6 of Grantchester, S10 of Call the Midwife,
S11 of Vera and S6 & 7 of Shetland will be airing in a few months.
Have to wait until 2022 for the last season of Doc Martin tho.
Will feel a bit weird spending so much concentrated time in front of a TV.

I was, and Epic too. Part of my childhood.

I can't post up the stuff I do for work which is the bulk of it all, but here's some side jobs I've done:

Love The Flight Attendant, great performance by Cuoco and the show just had a really cool vibe. I loved the soundtrack as well, it really did an awesome job at conveying the spastic chaos that Cuoco's character was constantly facing

Finished the available seasons of Line of Duty on Netflix (5 seasons), excellent police thriller. I don't know how much longer they can keep going, after a while it may get repetitive.

Moving on the Peaky Blinders. I don't know why I've shied away from it for so long, I'm 2 episodes in and it is very good. Love the music, obviously. Great acting, great production.

Line of Duty has completed its sixth season. If you need it let me know. I'm half-considering Peaky Blinders again; tried it once, didn't like it but I'm wondering if I may have dismissed it too quickly. We'll see; lots to watch still.

Finished the first season of True Detective: bloody excellent, but was a little surprised (though when I think about it, it makes perfect sense) to find season two has an entirely new cast and setting. Got into it though: hell of a shoot out in the last episode I watched. Think I'm about four episodes in now. Colin Farrell gives a powerhouse performance as the original hard-bitten, beat-down cop just trying to survive, Rachel MacAdams is great as the tough woman trying to make it in a man's world, and I have new respect for Vince Vaughan.

Don't worry, I know Line of duty 6th season is out there, it's just that my partner is technologically "challenged" and since we are apart at the moment we are limiting ourselves to watching Netflix stuff.

I'm sure you'll be shocked to find out that Rust is my spirit animal. Love that first season to absolute death. Wasn't a fan of the ending until I gave it a second watch and decided it wasn't as happy and muddled an ending as it first appeared.
