This is a tough decision - I'm in love with movies almost as much as I am with music - but here goes (no particular order):

Trainspotting
Fight Club
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Spun (I know it's a blatant rip-off of Requiem for a Dream, but I really, really like this movie.)
Shaun of the Dead

before i contribute, i want to say that while most of you had at least one good film in your list, some listed movies that made me cringe from their mediocrity.

i could never pick a top 5 out of all the movies ever, so what i will do, for the benefit of all who read this post, is offer 5 excellent films that everyone should see, but probably haven't.

a tale of 2 sisters

life is beautiful

when the last sword is drawn

kagemusha

windstruck

i tried to post links to the imdb pages for these, but of course, i don't have 15 posts yet so i am not able
