That was the first Stephen King book I ever read... I was in the fourth grade and I had to hide it from my mom (she didn't want me reading it at that point in time lol.)

As to the sequel - I know what you mean. For some reason I laugh like a loon when the mom gets electrocuted.

Hooray for Evil Dead fans!!!

dude, i don't care what the rest of them say, props to you for mentioning that one. i've dated some seriously messed up chicks in my day, and that movie is scary.

myself, i loved this movie:

it is pretty complicated though, and most people have to watch it at least twice to fully understand it. one of the best movies of it's kind ever made, it is without equal. it has no flaws. anyone who could watch this movie and not love it, didn't get it.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Audition is several different kinds of amazing.

I might get laughed out of the thread for this but my favorite horror movie at the moment has to be Funny Games with Strangers running a close second. I love psychological horror movies like that.

House of 1000 Corpses deserves an honorable mention also.

I agree about Pet Sematary as well, it's a good movie - I also read the book when I was a kid. The sequel is absolutely awful, though it still made me laugh now and then. Clancy Brown as the returned evil zombie dad had his moments.
Evil Dead for sure, I am seeing the Evil Dead musical on june 6th Its going to be so sick

I think House of 1000 Corpses is overblown redneck garbage, to be completely honest. I've seen it once, and that's enough for me. I won't go near The Devil's Rejects either.

I feel the same way to be fair, Which is not how I usually operate because DR has some good scenes apparently. As for the Halloween remake. Absolute blasphemy towards my favourite Horror Film. Mr. Zombie how dare you.
