the clips I saw didn't look bad, and the twist didn't sound that stupid. but after The Last Airbender I don't think Mr. Shymanlan deserves my time.

I've never seen The Last Airbender but the man has made some great movies in his day.

The acting was just really bad. Wahlberg blew hard.

Can't fing the clip I was looking for (it's when the Hispanic guy and Wahlberg decide to go seperate ways and it's really over-dramatic on Wahlberg's part) but here's what I'm talking about:

Not a good role for Marky Mark. He's way too over-dramatic throughout the entire thing. I just hated the movie. Unfortunately, my old room mate was a chronic bad movie watcher and I've watched way more bad ones than good ones.

Another movie I thought sucked:

Just based on the name alone, I would have assumed it sucked.

I don't get all the M. Night Shyamalan hate. I never saw "The Last Airbender", but I have seen most of his movies and they're fairly enjoyable, especially the early ones.

Personally, I thought The Happening was hilarious, not sure if that was intentional. I heard Shyamalan in some interview said he wanted to make a B movie actually, well to make a movie that looks like some B movies from the 50s and 60s, I guess.

You just summed up my feelings exactly. While I do think his earlier stuff was quite a bit better, I've never seen a movie by him that I disliked.

I liked the Sixth Sense and Signs, and Devil's actually quite a good film too if anyone here hasn't seen that already. I only enjoyed the Happening as I thought it was hilarious. Like Dankrsta, I'm not sure if that was intentional or not.

The Last Airbender is absolutely terrible though. I hated the Village too, but I just hated how the plot resolved itself rather than on any technical level though.
