Funny or not. It needs to be said, again amd again, by everyone. I just appreciate that he doesn't back off it.

Eh, Maher is the closest thing we'll have to another Carlin at the moment, and Religulous was amazing(and besides, it was obviously a response to Ben Steins "All Atheists are Jew Killing Nazis, and I know because I'm Jewish." documentary).

He's nowhere near as funny, unfortunately.

Agreed, a pale imitation of a legend.

See, it's all about the correspondents, Colbert was so hilarious that he got his own show from it.

I think Stewart is very funny on his own personally

Look at that laundry list of "authors" in the right column. You gotta wonder how much of it he actually wrote...

Fair point.

Have you ever heard him talk outside of his show though? The dude is a really smart man...

Who cares? The point is he writes some of the material and has a delivery that most stand up comedians would die for.

Yeah, I'll correct you. You're discrediting Colbert and Stewart because of the format of their shows. Just because they don't have an off-the-cuff open panel discussion program like Bill Maher's doesn't mean they aren't way smarter/funnier than Maher without the backing of writers. Plus their delivery is clearly better than his.

I love Colbert's delivery, one of the best in comedy. I hate Stewart's though, I think it's why I don't find him that funny.

I like Carlin, but I've always thought he was over rated... He's funny, but not that funny in my opinion. The grumpy swearing old man act gets old for me I guess
