Default The 8 bit/16 bit era of video games

So yeah. I'm a super old school gamer.

To me. The 3 best consoles of all time will always be the NES, Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. TurboGrafx16 and Master System also had some very overlooked gems, and then there's the old Atari, game boy, arcade and pc games. For me this will always be the golden era of video games.

At least 98% of it yes. Some of the bottom stuff on the NES list is filler I haven't played and I haven't played all the SNES RPG's, but as for the Genesis, yeah I have them all on emulator as of now.

You know what was a surprisingly good game on Genesis? Aladdin. I know normally movie tie-ins suck, right? That game was the exception—super, super fun.

Yeah tie-in games tend to suck but Disney have been an exception, they handle their video game licenses very well and there's a lot of surprisingly good Disney games developed by Sega and Capcom. The Mickey Mouse games are actually really good, Quackshot with Donald Duck is another good one. And then of course Ducktales for NES is a Capcom classic.

That whole Kingdom Hearts thing didn't turn out bad for them either.

Wow bro, awesome list! Youre right on the money. The only complaint I have is that Blades of Steel, Tecmo Superbowl, and Excite Bike are too low.

Also if none of you have never played Ecco the Dolphin, it's an awesome game, so don't listen to what any dumbasses on gametrailers have to say about it.

2. Super Mario World
3. Final Fantasy III (VI)
4. Super Metroid
5. Chrono Trigger
6. Street Fighter II (any version)
7. Super Mario Kart

Huh, it's funny that these are the only SNES games I've played and they all landed at the top.

Sonic and Knuckles 3 holds a lot of nostalgia for me.

Anyway, fun list. I'll probably download a few of these on emulators.
