Those who like this film and thought it was spooky, do you think you would have liked it if it hadn't scared you?

Maybe, but probably not. I wouldn't say I was scared by it, so much as creeped out. Most of the time when I see mainstream horror flicks these days I sit there laughing- it's pretty rare that a horror film scares me, outside of the cheap "jump out of your seat" moments where something flashes at the camera real quick with a sudden scream (for example). But, like I said, I think that's pretty cheap, because it's proven and beat to death- it's like any "hit in the nuts" thing in a comedy to me. The fact that Paranormal Activity creeped me out made it memorable- if it hadn't succeeded there I would probably have lumped it with other laugh out loud horror movies; isn't the goal of a horror mostly to scare? In that regard, great successs

The way i see it, if it hadnt been scary it would have been like one of those 'A Haunting' documentaries you get on Discovery Real Life and the like. Interesting to watch if a bit stupid.

Omg, I just came in this thread and an advert came on tv for it :|, spoooky.
Anyways I'm choking to watch it, I really really want to see it. A few of my friends have seen it and been absolutely terrified. Which makes me want to see it even more. I dont think anyone will go with me, and it isnt out here yet 2 more days, to go.

I saw the preview for it last night while I was going to see another film and it freaked me out. It looks a lot scarier than Blair Witch, which really didn't do anything for me apart from the ending. But you can't really judge a movie from a trailer so I guess I'll have to wait and see!

For me, Paranormal Activity is fully boring movie and it's mine saddest movie ever. I'll not watch this movie again.
