I'm hearing that Conan O'Brien had just settled a deal with NBC for $40 million...

My Way News - Leno anticipates return to 11:30, lauds O'Brien

I knew Jay wasn't such a bad guy. It really chalks up to goofing with the line up in the first place. Conan had always wanted to host Tonight, and he wasn't planning on leaving Late Night presumably until Jay himself was ready to retire.

I think the other comedians (Jimmy Kimmel, in particular) have had no class about any of this. Conan and Jay haven't taken hard stabs at each other, and Jay himself seems the most level-headed about it all Suffering the completely unsolicated attack by Kimmel (who, my god, has to be the worst comedian of all time) witha smile and a nod, after he himself invited Kimmel on the show. Kimmel is a no life.

Word on the street is that Conan has settled for 40 mil.

About Class however. Conan has taken swipes, such as...

"You know ever since I was a little kid its been my dream to host the tonight and I just want to say to every little kid out there, you can do whatever you want to do...unless Jay Leno wants to do it too."

I think is part of the job. Latenight isn't supposed to concern itself with class. I say this was brilliant for the whole lot of them, and I hope to god conan is back. The man's been brilliant since he wrote for the Simpsons and he hasn't lost a step yet.

I think he's one of the holy trifecta of televised comedy with Colbert and Fey. God Speed you Red-headed Emperor.
