I don't really go for slapstick. Everything about that film was so over the top it became really annoying.

And you haven't seen Blood simple or Miller's crossing so you can't really claim that's the best one they ever made....

Those two are good, but I wouldn't put them anywhere near Raising Arizona. I have to say it never would have occurred to me to describe it as slapstick. I guess it has some elements of it but no more so than O Brother Where Art Thou or The Big Lebowski.
