The Official Gleek Thread

I am a major Glee fan and am interested to see who else is. Sorry Tumourattitude I stole your thunder here.

Madonna episode - brilliant.

Gaga epsiode - majorly meh.

I think although most of the music is pop, they still spice it up with Funk, classical and many other genres.

I particularly love Sue's Corner:

And mmmmmmm....Finn.

Is a "gleek" a person that's a fan of Glee or something? Maybe it's just a regional thing, but where I grew up "gleek" meant something else that was semi-distgusting.

Haha it took me YEARS to learn how to gleek.
I can only do it when I'm eating sour candy.

I can only do it by accident when I'm yawning or something. I've never been able to harness the power of the gleek.

It's a cross between Glee and Geek, indicating you are a nerdy glee fan.

I figured. But it has an older meaning that makes it sound kind of funny.

TheBig3 06-08-2010 09:04 AM

Sue is the best part of that show. The music is hit or miss depending on the actor. I ****ing hate when they have kurt sing.

In other news, that Leah Michelle should have my ****ing babies.

FETCHER. 06-08-2010 03:00 PM

OMG I burst out laughing when I read this thread title because I have a personal joke with my dad where I would call him a Gleek as he tried to call me a geek but mispronounced it lol. This title made me happy. But sad when I realised it was glee.

MURDER JUNKIE 06-08-2010 04:12 PM

Guilty :(

I won't miss it

It's delightful

Wait is that when you shoot saliva out of your mouth like a geyser?

I don't know if I'd say it's like a geyser. It's just a little squirt from under the tongue. It sometimes happens by accident when you yawn but there are also some freaks of nature who can do it at will.

FETCHER. 06-08-2010 05:29 PM

its embarassing :(

Which? The show or the saliva squirting?

FETCHER. 06-08-2010 05:36 PM

lol... both.

Nothing worse sitting with someone you like and you yawn... and make a bit of saliva airborne. I could kill myself cos the embarassment when that happens.

It's especially bad when it actually hits them. I forget who it was but someone I was talking to the other day gleeked right on my hand by accident.

FETCHER. 06-08-2010 05:59 PM

eww! ive never gleeked on someone haha. but thats gross. I have however had someone gleek on me :(

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 06-08-2010 09:34 PM

The "Dream On" duet was hot.

First time I turned Glee on I heard "If you're so tough then let's have a sing-off in the parking lot, 7 o'clock!". Second time I turned it on I saw a guy in a wheelchair singing "Can't Touch This". I will never watch Glee again.

I don't watch it... I hold a rather strong hatred for musicals... which includes Glee :)

Soul-mate.

FETCHER. 06-09-2010 05:21 PM

It must be meant...

Freebase Dali 06-09-2010 07:05 PM

It seems like it wouldn't be, but it is hard to find people who hate all musicals by virtue of it being a musical. I'm one of those people.

I don't even care if it has music I actually like. I still won't watch it.

Im a total pro.

I watched an episode after flipping through the channels and having Jane Lynch catch my eye. I've heard much about it, and didnt know she was on the show. After watching it, I was not impressed by anything outside of the talented Mrs. Lynch, but I feel this might be directed more towards women and children.

How about that Beatles flick? Across the Universe or something of that sort.

Freebase Dali 06-10-2010 09:47 AM

^ No.

CanwllCorfe 06-10-2010 10:45 AM

Yeah I don't really do musicals. I'm not ***

I tried Sweeney Todd because at least that's dark and it was a LOT more manageable than the happy, cheery ones.

One of the only musicals I've ever been able to stomach. Even Rocky Horror never done it for me (and I really, really tried). I'm not very good with films bursting into impromptu songs.

And I managed about 15 minutes of Glee before the urge to start scratching at my eyeballs and ears led me to find the remote.

NumberNineDream 06-11-2010 05:49 AM

^Not even Singing in the Rain after watching A Clockwork Orange ? :O
You people are freaks!

TheBig3 06-11-2010 08:03 AM

How about we rename this thread: People who can't stand Glee, Musicals, Fun, or other peopels interests and we can make another thread called "A stuffy talk about books and tea" and we'll talk about glee there?

Thoughts?
