Well, the original that turned it from being a complete joke into a dark gothic series.

I'm going to go for the original Batman, as its a movie from my childhood that I've always enjoyed. Dark Knight was also a fantastic film, but didnt do much for me opposed to Batman.

^ 10 really fun horror movies from the last 10 years you might wanna look out for if you haven't seen any already. If you haven't, some of them might change your mind, some not.
Going way back into the thread but thanks, I'll check them out. I saw Drag Me To Hell not too long ago though and thought it was terrible. The funny kind of terrible though

Damn, the older one's really getting some hate. I'm going for the Burton version because I just found it more interesting. The Dark Knight is a really good, entertaining movie, but there's some wackiness in Batman that I enjoyed. I love the odd Joker gadgets, like the foot-long gun.

Dark Knight: 10

Batman: 3

I agree 100% with all your choices except that one... I think that one is a very niche audience type of horror movie. I mean people get grossed out by the Saw series, but if that saw that... I dunno, I don't think it would go over so well.

I'm gonna vote for The Dark Knight. And actually I don't mind the growl, 'cause when I think about it, the very concept of superheroes seems very silly to me. I mean if I can accept a guy dressing up as a giant bat, I sure can accept the bizarre voice. It goes with the theatrics.

And because, someone haven't counted Violent&Funky's vote, the new result is:

The Dark Knight 12
Batman 3

And a crushing victory for the Dark Knight!

I'm gonna post the next battle a bit early today, cz I'm leaving in a while.

ROUND V

The Matrix (1999) by The Wachowskis
vs.
Inception (2010) by Chris Nolan
(So yeah, another Nolan battle, those are the suggestions. I hope there won't be any spoilers)

Let the battle begin!

Inception 1

Matrix 0

I'll admit, I simply fell in love with Inception. It's perfection from beginning to end.

This was my suggestion, and I'm not sure why. Because I love the ideas and concepts explored in both films, even though Matrix has a lot more originality I just loved Inception, I think it will be remembered in a few years time, just like The Matrix, it not more so.

Inception 2
The Matrix 0
