How the hell is it political? I think someone's a tad jealous...

I'm trying to think of anything in any episode of Top Gear that I've ever seen that was even remotely political. Got nothing so far. From what I've read about Jeremy Clarkson in the past he personally seems to have some fairly ridiculous political views but as far as I've ever seen he doesn't make them a part of the show, which I think is to his credit.

I don't know what you've been watching but Jeremy Clarkson has called Gordon Brown, 'a one eyed scottish idiot', he's made a Nazi salute like Hitler on the programme before... what more do you want? Not political? My arse!

He didn't actually say that on the show though. I think you're mixing up your opinions of Clarkson as a person with the show itself.

Intended as humor and directed toward a car. It's arguably inappropriate, but it wasn't intended as anything political.

By thinking it has anything to do with politics and by calling Jeremy Clarkson a journalist. He is a brilliant writer by the way. But that's something else.

Have you seen stand up comedians? They do the same stuff all the time.
Do you have the same problems with them?
I don't think you do. You just miss the point because you don't seem to see that nothing, and I mean nothing in that show has to be taken serious. Not even the car reviews. It's entertainment. The cars are props.

Oh, and he's been racist towards the Mexicans when he said they had no sense of humour.

Some people will find it entertaining and others won't. He isn't a comedian, he's a TV Presenter for the BBC, a journalist, a writer. The guy has responsibilities and he knows exactly what he's saying when he does it!

He's racist to everyone man. Which means that he isn't.
British governal people, mexicans, germans, the dutch, priuses.
With this show, he's an entertainer. Just like he is an entertainer when he does have I got news for you. That's all he is. Can't you see Top gear is just a play? Everything is set up, nothing is objective or real. Man... Come on. Have you read clarkson's books? Have you seen the top gear books? All they want to do is give people a good laugh. And yes there's people like yourself who go and write angry letters to the show. But you lot just don't get it...

He's not being racist when he makes jokes like that. Besides, he pokes fun at everyone, even the Britts every once in a while. BBC producers wouldn't allow any of their TV personalities to actually be racist. How do you explain the show being so popular then? If he was seriously being racist the show wouldn't have lasted. This show is entertainment.

But you have your opinion and I have mine respectively. To me your logic doesn't make sense in the slightest but thats ok. You're allowed to think whatever the hell you want. I'll just keep enjoying the politically racist show about cars.
