Uh... that's technically 6 films(3 Naked Gun).

Anyway:

Apocalypse Now!
Robocop
Taxi Driver

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God

The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou (2004)
The Fisher King (1991)
Blade Runner (1982)

These three are all way up there for me Some other honourable mentions could be the first Naked Gun from 1988, The Changeling - the 1980 horror film starring George C. Scott or, for action/thriller, Aliens from 1986.

Yes, I did and still do. Aliens > Alien > Alien 3 .. And there it should have stopped in my opinion.

One alien < Dozens of aliens.. including the queen.. I'd agree Aliens is a bit more entertaining.. and anything made after that is an abomination.

**** yeah. I don't know if it really qualified as a horror movie, but Aliens is an all time classic.

I completely disagree. The tension of the one alien > a bunch of aliens running around. Give me the suspense and thrills of Alien over the action of Aliens any day...

sometimes I don't thrill you
sometimes I think I'll kill you
just don't let me fuck up will you
'cause when I need a friend it's still you

Like Alien, I think Aliens has lots of suspense, so I don't see them as suspense in one vs. action in the other, really.
