I think you'd really like it. The story is great, the makeup is great, the set design is fantastic, and from a historical and sociological perspective it's interesting to see a German movie with Jewish main characters a mere 12 years before the Nazis came to power.

The full title is The Golem: How He Came into the World if you're looking for it.

I can't find The Golem: How He Came into the World on archive.org and it's not on netflix either.

Netflix has it, just not for instant viewing. Search for "Der Golem, Wie er in die Welt Kam".

I did find it under the first name you had but I had to save it because it said the dvd was unavailable. I will try searching under the name you just said though.

Opps...I just moved it. Well if it needs to be in lounge feel free to move it back. Great idea though, this is the kind of activity that will keep the boards alive!

Yeah, the search function on archive.org is a bit tricky I think so when I search for movies, I usually use google (f.ex "der golem archive.org"). It seems the movie used to be available on archive.org, but it was taken down a while ago when someone asserted copyright.

By the way, good idea to watch those films :) If you do it, don't forget to let us know what you think!
