I can easily choose 3;
1. Cannibal Holocaust
2. King Kong (The original)
3. Mean Creek

It gets trickier on this part, since there are no clear favorites, so I'll just go with two I can recall very well / liked them a lot.

4. Hard Candy
5. High Tension

That film left me shocked and disturbed for days and weeks after watching it and no other film has ever done that.

you p*ssy

i thought it was pretty juvenile horror, with its sole aim to disgust you with the most supposedly "shocking" images

Henry : Portrait Of a Serial Killer made my left arm petrified - now that one was true horror - because it could happen to you

Actually it did shock me as well, even though I still enjoy it, it didn't like shock shock me, it just shocked me.

Edit: Still on Cannibal Holocaust.

But a lot of that stuff in the film was done for real, especially with the wildlife and real bodies were actually used, the film was so shocking for its time, I mean the dvd cover is just horrific. I remember reading that the director was arrested on his return to Italy over the film .

The whole film actually put me off ever going to the amazon rainforest and meeting any tribes

^^oh they ate the animals they killed, so it didn't go to waste

i don't think there were any actual dead bodies in the movie, it's merely stated for publicity

I am not sure about the dead bodies of people, but if we're talking about killing the animals... I think that the hype over it is quite unjustified, it was 7 animals (6 on the screen I think, but the monkey-killing was done twice) it's not that big of a deal when we consider how chickens, pigs etc. live and get killed.

I remember reading how dead bodies were used for the film and how they had been taken out of refrigeration.

You have to remember the film had a low budget, of which most was taken up shooting in the Amazon, the bodies and body parts along with the killing of animals etc looks so real, a low budget film would have difficulty achieving this without using the real thing.
