No, you just need to have a spare dragon soul lying around, which you collect after killing a dragon.

Apparently, my graphics card is the only thing that doesn't meet the game's requirements...Bugger.

I've played Skyrim for quite some time and am currently at level 22. I'm trying not to progress too far in the story line because I remember the story line as being quite short for Oblivion and Fallout, but the amount of side quests there are to do in this game are staggering! I'm never gonna finish

Or maybe it does meet the minimum specs...Is "Can You Run It?" reliable?

Likewise. I finished the Graybeard quest, and now I'm taking care of all those side quests I opened.

Did you get to the point where you can smith Daedric armor yet? That's a good way to kill some time and discover some locations for fast traveling without doing too many quests. Craft iron daggers over and over again until your smithing reaches 90, get some Daedric hearts, ebony ore, and make you some Daedric armor and weaponry! IT IS AWESOME. Better than dragon armor. Takes a good bit of gold, but at level 22 you should have over 10,000 (which is far more than enough) if you've been selling items you find.

What kind of character are you playing?

Thanks for the tip! I haven't been doing much tradeskilling at all, but money's certainly no problem. I'm at level 25, got two houses fully furnished and still have well over 10k on me.

I played an archer/one hander/destruction/restoration mage I like to try different things and go with what I think works the best and this seems to be alright. Earlier, I used a lot of destruction magic at range with one hand and then sliced up the enemies with my 1 hander when they got close with the other, but sadly, my spells seem as effective dps wise so now I'm relying more on my one hander and a bow for the damage, then I keep a heal spell ready in my left hand.

The tradeskill I've been doing the most is alchemy, as much out of necessity to clear out crap from my inventory as anything else. I'm a compulsive picker of flowers and anything else I can find in the game.

Nice!
Haha, yea I'm definitely the same way when it comes to compulsory harvesting. It's weird, too, because I've made so many potions and I don't really use them. (except for the health potions when I'm not using restoration in a battle)

I sorta wish poisons stayed on weaponry for more than just one hit, though. It's too much of a pain to go to the inventory and reapply poison after every hit, so I just end up not using them and/or selling them.

I think my next character will be a mage. My current one is a Breton with warrior focus. I love the magic resist bonus, and swordfighting is awesome when you have a great shield, a great daedric enchanted sword, and Wuuthrad... lol.
I usually leave my ranged attacks to the bow. Honestly, the only thing I ever use destruction on is fire against frostbite spiders.

What other enemies are particularly weak to fire? I'd assume Ice Wraiths, but I hack them up pretty easily.

Trolls definetly Destruction is useful for more than dealing damage though. You probably know this already, but lightning spells drain magic and ice drains stamina while fire just burns. It may be as useful and simpler than using a poison to reduce stam or magick. My problem at the moment I guess is just finding stronger spells as I've had the ones I'm using now for ages.

Potions are definetly a lot of work to use so I don't make a habit of it. Like you, I find it a bit annoying to have to pause the game, find the right potion and so on so I only use them if I really need it. I sell most potions for piles of cash as some of them fetch a nice price .. especially when you got stacks of them!
