I just remember making a note of a few things I wanted to watch on the UK one and then, when logged in to the US one, I searched for them and they weren't there. It's difficult for me to remember off the top of my head which shows were on which library though. They will have been UK TV shows, I'm sure.

Red Dwarf was one of them. I think that maybe Teachers, Outnumbered, Deadset and The Thick Of It were also only on the UK one? Could be wrong.

They give you a free trial with the e-mail address you sign up with, yes. I'm sure you see the flaw in their registration process here.

Oh, it did? Thats a shame! Yeah, I recently watched all of it on Netflix. I hadnt seen it again since I used to watch it at the time when I was a young 'un so I very much enjoyed it.

I cancelled cable TV because it was costing me $85 a month just for the basics, and I have found Netflix Instant to be a most worthy substitute, especially for $8. I have seen a lot of films I would not have seen otherwise because I'd simply never heard of them. About my only criticism is that there are a lot of really crappy documentaries you have to wade through to get to the good ones, but that's not really Netflix fault. Here are my recommendations so far:

Battlestar Galactica - This is like sci-fi crack. Best sci fi show ever? Hmmm.
Goon - Just saw this - Excellent and hilarious - a real surprise.
Dragon Tattoo Trilogy - Really faithful to the books and well acted. The Swedish girl is much more what I pictured than the American girl who plays Lisbeth in the US movie.
Winnebago Man - Funny. Sad. Weird.
Bronson - Absolutely brutal - makes you laugh and flinch at the same time.
Saturday Night Live 1970's - There was a lot less comedy in the first season than I remember, but what's there is wonderfully dark and weird, unlike anything they do today.
Rubber - Telekinetic tire with anger mgmt issues - what else do you need?
We Jam Econo - Story of the Minutemen - great music doc.
Drive - very 70's in style and execution - a bit overrated maybe but worth watching.
The Wild and Wonderful Whites - Fascinating/Disgusting doc about the ultimate white trash family. The girl snorting oxy after having her baby was classic. I wanted to take a shower when it was over.

I really wish Netflix would stop recommending me TV shows I've already watched. Seriously my top 10 recommendations are ALL shows I've watched before.

We just got Netflix Instant a couple of months ago, and I wondered if it was just me -- or if the streaming movie offers were just kind of...bad. They don't change much, do they?

That being said, I'm going nuts watching a LOT of great TV shows I never had time to watch -- the top two being Mad Men and now, Breaking Bad. Just started BB but it's getting good. For comedy, I really like Parenthood right now. Thought about giving White Collar a shot too.

Being Human looks interesting, but are there two different ones? Confused on that.

You need to do research and find the gems that aren't displayed in the categories. Rate movies as well. Netflix learns to know your preference. Also, check these two websites.
