Can't wait for this. Interested to see what Waltz does for an encore.

Eh? Really? Death Proof is fun, but there are so many pointless scenes and shots in it. Scenes that add nothing to the suspense, don't add to the exhilaration of the final scene, but aren't entertaining in a comedic sense and don't add depth to the characters. Filler, in other words.

Jackie Brown is cut so tightly.... it's wonderful. The plot, the dialogue.... Grier's acting is bad at times, but otherwise it's a wonderful film. It's actually my favorite by Tarantino.

Yes, really. Jackie Brown isn't a bad movie, but it's a pretty ordinary movie. It feels very much like it could have been directed by some no-name director and still have turned out the same. There's nothing particularly special about it. Definitely my least favorite Tarantino movie.

This does surprise me I have to say, if he had made anything close to Drive in the last 15 years then I would be all over him but he just doesn't cut it for me and hasn't for a while. He can write two hander dialogue superbly but the constant rehash of old ideas and films is becoming really tiresome and this isn't just another case of Tarantino bashing for the sake of it either.

There is only so much geek I can take in movies for me to turn off and ask for some originality for once.

This is what they said about Shakespeare.

So if it's in the Tarantino film universe, I'm guessing that this will be less violent than his other films? Because it's set before the men in Inglourious Basterds put the world into a violent place and ended up with the ultraviolent Kill Bill in the future. Or will this be the precursor to the violence of Inglourious Basterds?

Oh wait, what the hell am I talking about? It's a Tarantino film for Christ's sake.

Check out the big brain on Brad.

Looking forward to Django, have they announced a release date at all?
