Default Unsung Heroes

Attention all baby boomers (in other words middle aged people). Think of the soundtrack of the 60s and 70s. Name 5 random hits from that era, and chances are a session band known as The Wrecking Crew were on at least 3 of the songs you named. They were Los Angeles based first-call musicians, headed up by drummer Hal Blaine.

If you are into music history and grew up during that time, check out his book "Hal Blaine and the Wrecking Crew."

Great read.
