That's a tough one that I'll have to come back to. I'm only familiar with Christopher Eccleston through Matt Smith. I still haven't seen the older series or read any of the books, etc.

I really enjoyed Tennant, but I think each of the Doctors I've seen have done the role justice.

I'm going to have to revisit that question. Almost finished with Season 6, have to get it done before Season 7 premieres!

Does it bother anyone that the book and audio series mythologies diverged slightly from the TV Show mythology?

Same here.

I only started to watching Dr Who recently starting with Matt Smith, and I been trying catch-up ever since. My favorites are David Tennant and Matt Smith I know most people have a fondness for previous Doctors. But I think Smith is pretty good. I love Catherine Tate, Karen Gillan and Billie Piper.

I think so far, Martha Jones and the Ponds are my favorite companions. I wasn't a huge fan of Rose.

In what way? The books didn't.
All of the BBC Past Doctor Adventures & Virgin Missing Adventures are set in between gaps in existing television stories. The Virgin New Adventures took off from where the series finished in 1989 and towards the end foreshadowed the 8th doctor TV Movie, and the BBC 8th doctor stories carried on after the TV Movie.

Anyway the TV show doesn't even follow itself. That's why The Daleks have 2 histories and don't even attempt to try to find dates to fit any sort of timeline for the U.N.I.T. stories broadcast.

I thought of including both Inferno and Ambassadors of Death. The first ever Pertwee season was one of the most unique ever and had a special feel to it. Also Spearhead From Space the first Auton adventure and The Silurians were also classics as well. War Games is another classic and adventure for adventure the Troughton era may have just been the best. Saw Invasion recently and its another great story.
